So out of all the great places to live in the DFW Metroplex, why choose Aledo? What makes Aledo so great? Well as a resident of Aledo, let me tell you why:

Great Schools

Aledo has great schools starting from Elementary all the way to High School. The great schools start with the teachers and administrators of Aledo ISD. Aledo ISD is one of the few school districts that applies good old common sense to teaching our children and does not get all tied up with bureaucracy and red tape. The schools have good facilities and are not overcrowded. In addition the school ratings and test scores speak for themselves and are competitive with private schools. Last but not least, Aledo excels at Athletics and it is not uncommon for Aledo to win a few state championships each year in different sports.

Great Neighborhoods

What really makes the neighborhoods nice is that the majority of them are relatively small. In fact it is not uncommon to find a neighborhood in Aledo with less than 50 homes. This gives the opportunity for residents to really to get to know the neighbors which helps make Aledo a great place by providing well connected neighborhoods where everyone knows everyone.

Great Churches

Regardless if you are Methodist, Catholic, Baptist, Non-denominational or any other Christian denomination you are bound to find a great church that will meet your needs. The churches in Aledo are very active and have a variety of programs to meet the needs of the community. I don’t know the exact percent, but the vast majority of families in Aledo are actively involved in a church.

Great People

I hate to say it but it is true, the people out in Aledo are great! They are friendly and down to Earth and willing to provide a helping hand. Common sense seems to prevail throughout Aledo thanks to the people. Does not matter where you come from or where you been, once you join the Aledo Community, you are family.

Best of Both Worlds

Aledo offers the best of both worlds when it comes to providing country living with city attractions nearby. Aledo is not full of all the big box retailers, but instead is home to a variety of small business owners that make Aledo great. If you need to go shopping at the major retailers, Weatherford and Fort Worth are right around the corner.
